The Placement Cell of LCE plays a significant role in offering the best Job opportunities for the student- teachers. The advertisements for various recruitments in school and also private consultancies (in need of prospective teachers), from newspapers are collected, filed and put up on the bulletin board for the students to get the best employment facilities.
Campus Recruitment Programme began in the month of December 2018 with the series of meeting with Rev.Fr. S. Sebastian, S.J., Secretary, LCE, Dr. L.KulandaiTheresal, Principal and the Placement Cell coordinator. 65 Schools were approached to conduct the campus interview through letter of intent, phone call and mail. The pamphlets, brochures and hoardings from different schools were filed and put up on the Placement cell bulletin board for the students to view the various requirements of the schools.
There were many schools which volunteered for a stand – alone Campus Drive and were in need of Teacher candidates particularly from LCE, as it is known for its quality in integral formation.
Head Teachers from 28 schools drove in for the Campus interview. It was conducted on February 27th 2019 (Wednesday).There were schools with CBSE, Samacheer, ICSE, IGCSE and IB boards.
Out of 109 students, 45 students are going for higher studies and 82% of the students got an appointment order in various schools in and around Chennai.

The Parent - Teacher meeting was held in the Arrupe Auditorium, Loyola College of Education at 10.00 a.m., which started with a prayer song. The meeting was diligently organised starting with the welcome address by Mrs. AmalaJansi, Asst. Professor of Computer Science department. Father Secretary Dr.Sebastian,S.J., felicitated the parents of Loyola College of Education through encouraging and motivational words. After the Principal’s address, the parents were asked to put forth their queries and suggestions to which the parents/spouse expressed their opinions and suggestions. The PTA meeting as concluded by the words of thankfulness and recognition via Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr.PondySelvi , Assistant Professor of History Education. The Feedback form was collected from the Parents.
